Ten Perspective Shots

Ten Perspective Shots

This is a close up shot starting from the waste up.

This shot is called a dolly shot and it is following the person in action.

This is a shot that spans from the ground and then moves up.

This is called a tight shot it is close up and from a perspective behind the person.

This is a full body shot having feet to the head in the shot.

This is a high angle shot, taken from an angle that is much higher then were the person or the object is located.

This is called an extremely long shot and it consists of a wide angle overviewing a larger landscape.

In this shot the camera angle is placed lower then the object or person that it is capturing.

This shot is consisting of two people having a conversation, it is also taken from the waste to the top of the head.

This is an eye level shot that is taken close up the the persons face, it is only the head that should be in the shot.

  1. I liked the eye level shot and the high angle shot. These are both classic shots in film. The eye level shot made me feel like I was personally talking with Mia (the actor). The high angle shot made me feel that Emma, the actor, is important and that she is the important part of the scene.

  2. I really loved your use of low angle on the staircase. By shooting in that fashion you were really able to give the environment (the staircase in particular) a very grand sense of scale while making the subject look miniscule. Another shot that caught my eye was was the dolly shot, it was really able to give the shot a great sense of motion and energy that invigorated my viewing experience. One last shot I really liked was your full shot. By composing the fame in that fashion I was really able to get a sense of the subject at hand and the characteristics of that individual.

  3. The first shot I watched on Loren's storyboard was the high angle shot. When I saw this shot I thought it was funny how Emma was shot spinning around from so high up. I did like how we were able to tell that it was a high angle shot because of how high up the camera was. The second shot I watched was actually the dolly shot, this shot was well filmed because we see how Emma is running away from the camera. However, instead of the camera being placed in one spot it is running along with Emma. Even without the description of the shot, as an audience we would be able to tell that this shot was a dolly shot. The last shot that I watched was the close-up shot. This shot was filmed pretty well because in a close-up the audience is only supposed to see the main character from the waist up. I also, didn't really feel anything while watching this shot.
