Five Master Edits

Symbolism

When we were shooting this scene we used the mathematical pi sign and the clip following is then a actual pie. They are two very different things but they have the same name. 

Contrast

With this shot Mia and I decided that one clip of us fighting, then the nest clip it is of us talking and being much more civil with each other. The contrast from one scene to the next in indicated in our body language.   

Simultaneity 

In the shot Mia and I are showing two different students and how they have two different work ethics when they have the same things to do. One scene cuts to Mia working hard and in the next it is me sleeping on top of the same work. 

Parallelism

This clip starts panning into the water bucket and without you noticing it is panning from a huge pool full of water. It is the same substance just put to two different uses, one is drinking water and the other is water used to play in.

Leit Motif

In this shot it is panning around the car and playing a song that you would play if you were driving out on a road. In the song it says, "Make me wanna roll my windows down..." , when you listen to that song it brings you back to the car and driving.
