Symbolism

In this scene there are the two butterflies and if you know the context of the movie you know that the butterflies represent the two people the movie is about. So this beginning clip is indicating the love of the two characters before you even see them. This is indicating that the butterflies were there on purpose and that the main characters where close. Which right after this scene it cut to them, it is associating the butterflies to the people.  Whenever you see them in a clip it makes you think about them even if you can not see them. 

Parallelism

In this clip you are getting the side of the lady and you see her facial expressions, then it cuts to the man and you can see his emotions. It is of them on the phone with each other but the man is on the radio with the lady, he was confessing that he had fallen for someone and that person is the lady that he is on the phone with. So you see that she feels the same way without her saying that to him, you see both sides of the story but the characters do not. That is what makes it parallelism, them having a conversation about each other without other people listen to the radio knowing. 

Contrast

In this scene she is on the air talking about her relationship with her fiancé, unknowingly he is also listening to the conversation so you can see him finding out about the whole situation and how his fiancé wants to call off the wedding. This showing two of the sides of the relationship and how he was in the unknown about the whole situation and is just then learning about it in an unfortunate way. You see the him hurt and her still unknowing about his knowledge.
